She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on July 9 1983. She began her career as a real estate agent after she graduated from school. In this industry, she made friends with Tarek. In 2008, following the crash of the stock market, many investors in real estate and house flippers lost their money. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa nearly financially bankrupted after the market crash in 2008. Following their move from a home which cost them $6,000 per year to a place that was $700, they were close to losing everything. Both their business and economy as a whole slowly recovered. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted his friend to aid in making an HGTV audition video in the year the year 2011. The tape showed Tarek as well as Christina working together to flip the house. Pie Town Productions executive received this tape. They were in love with Tarek and Christina. The couple signed a contract with HGTV. "Flip of Flop" began its premiere in April of 2013. Between 2013 until 2017, the show ran 92 episodes in seven seasons. Christina as well as Tarek had to buy houses typically in Orange County. After spending several weeks on upgrades and renovations, they'd sell them for a profit.
